Coaching Team confirmed for 26/27 Season
As we prepare for our first season as a women's+ football club built on inclusivity, community and empowerment, the club is proud to introduce an experienced coaching team of women who will work alongside newly appointed Sporting Director Blake Campbell to lead the team through an exciting first season. Together, they bring a wealth of experience across player development, wellbeing and community football, reflecting the values Leeds Laces was founded on.
Alice Hughes
Assistant Coach
Alice currently plays for Leeds United Women and brings 20 years of playing experience into her new coaching role.
‘Hi everyone, I’m Alice Hughes and will be joining the club as an assistant coach. I’m looking forward to getting started and meeting everyone! From conversations with those within Leeds Laces, I’m excited to be joining a club with such strong values and seeing where this takes us’.
Niamh Manning
Assistant Coach
Niamh spent the past season playing for Harrogate Town, gaining valuable experience both on and off the pitch.
‘Hi, I’m Niamh. I’ll be assisting the coaching team this year and I’m really excited to get started! Looking forward to bringing that into Leeds Laces and supporting the team this season.’
Nikita Miller
Casual Coach
37-year-old mum of two, Nikita brings a huge love for football, coaching and championing women into her role at the club.
‘I’m absolutely buzzing to be joining the coaching team at Leeds Laces and to be part of a club that’s taking a research-led approach to women’s health. I’m excited to grow my coaching skills, learn from some ace people, and help more women enjoy football in a way that works for them.’
Sally Jones
Over-35s Coach
Sally is passionate about football both on and off the pitch and supports the club's social and over-35s side.
‘I’m really looking forward to becoming part of Leeds Laces because of the clubs inclusive vision and values, and the way it empowers women, trans and non-binary people through football.’
